Titan Missile Museum - Green Valley, AZ
1580 W Duval Mine Rd, Green Valley, Arizona 85614 USA
Even non-Trekkies will be fascinated by this site, which preserves an actual Titan II intercontinental ballistic missile in its silo. This National Historic Landmark is the sole remaining intercontinental complex in the country. This location stood in as the first warp-capable ship, the Phoenix, from the 1996 film Star Trek: First Contact.
Officially known as complex 571-7, this is the only one of the 54 bases still in existence, now turned into a museum, after the program was phased out in the 1980's.
There are not only basic one-hour tours and more thorough five-hour tours, but also online video tours of the facility.
