Bird Sanctuary in Griffith Park - Los Angeles, CA
2900 N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, California 90027 USA
Fires destroyed the sanctuary in the early 2000's but it was restored and reopened in the mid-2020's. It is a great place to go bird watching and hiking. The park was once populated with more than 200 bird species, including Cinnamon Teal, Purple Finch and Rufous-crowned Sparrow and many more. However, the park was devastated by the Griffith Park fire which destroyed much of the park’s habitat.
